Neal Ritson, winner of the 2023 Brian Crosby scholarship, is taking part in the Ultra X 50 Wales run on July 28th 2024.

Neal is hoping to raise at least £500 to help the Colegrave Seabrook Foundation through the run.

Neal told us

“I’ll be using this opportunity to fundraise for The Colegrave Seabrook Foundation. I made a career change to the world of Horticulture 5 years ago and was fortunate enough to benefit from support offered by the Foundation whilst I gained my Horticultural qualifications; I feel I now have the chance to give something back and raise awareness of this fantastic organisation.”

Designed to encapsulate the essence of Welsh ultra-running, the 50km race offers participants a challenging but manageable distance that traverses the diverse landscapes of Wales, from rugged mountain trails to breathtaking valleys, with a total elevation gain of 1830m. This single-day event is a test of endurance, strategy, and resilience, set against the backdrop of Wales’ most scenic terrains.

The Foundation is incredibly grateful to Neal for supporting us in this way.

Good luck with the training Neal – we’re sure you’ll be brilliant!
